ABOUT
Zachry Wheeler is a 90s alt-rocker who released four studio albums and spent his formative years in mosh pits. He’s also an award-winning science fiction author.
Leo Galvez is an 80s metalhead who exited the womb with a guitar in hand. He’s a bassist at heart and has rocked out with his turnip out for as long as he can remember.
After decades of hauling around heavy amps, Zachry and Leo decided to nurse their middle-aged backs and jam on ukuleles. Thus was born Punching Turnips, a Gex X Ukulele Duo.
Our musical repertoire includes several badass covers from Radiohead, Guns N’ Roses, Smashing Pumpkins, Ozzy Osbourne, Concrete Blonde, Tears for Fears, and many more!
